Time to debunk this thread, which alleges a variety of Hindu nobles & kings of marrying into Muslims for political benefit.
As we will see, these marriages were *after* losses in battles / sieges, and therefore involuntary!

2.
Ramchandra Yadava had sent his son w/ troops to the South just before Alauddin’s invasion. Hence, he endured a siege. Just after the initial treaty, his son came back & fought Khilji, but lost.
In the harsher treaty, Jhatyapali was married to Khilji.
3.
In 1436, the daughter of Raja of Sangameshwar was married to Alauddin II Bahmani *after* loss in a battle too.
Marriage of Sangameshwar princess to Firuzshah Bahmani cannot be found in records.
4.
Here, marriage to 'evade destruction' is incorrect. Mukundrao fought Yusuf Adilshah, and had to agree to the involuntary marriage after a loss.
5.
This smear on Chhatrapati Sambhaji & Chhatrapati Rajaram has been debunked by us earlier! To summarise, these marriages of *captured* girls were done *after* both Chhatrapatis had passed away. (
6.
Coming to Vijayanagara empire's Deva Raya I, his daughter was married to Tajuddin Firuzshah Bahmani *after* defeat at Vijayanagara siege.
Again, *involuntary* marriage.
7.
Narsingh Rao of Kherla fought a closely-contested battle, and endured a siege of 2 months, before being forced to agree to the terms of Tajuddin Firuzshah Bahmani.
Involuntary!
8.
There's no record of Ahmad Shah Wali Bahmani marrying daughter of Raja of Sonkhed (Sangameshwar). Malik-ut-Tujjar was deployed in 1429 CE for subduing him, but princess of Sonkhed being married isn't mentioned.
9.
Prior to Raja Purushottam of Khurda 'sending his daughter to imperial harem', he had fought the Mughals who were camping at the Jagannath Puri Temple. After the defeat in that battle, the clause of sending daughter to Mughals was part of the terms.
10.
Thus, as can be seen in this thread, most of the marriages mentioned in the cited thread were *involuntary*. The rest (2) of the examples were actually non-existent in record (Ahmad Shah Wali Bahmani & Firuzshah Bahmani) !

This thread should put to rest such insinuations that 'all these kings married daughters to Muslim rulers voluntarily for political benefits'.

Coming to the jibes at Rajputs for Mughal marriages, it'd be better if ppl from both camps simply move on, & reconciliate. Just to put things in perspective, Kachwahas had fought against I$lam before Mughals, let's focus on that too (this suggestion for both camps)

We again implore people to focus on the glorious parts of Indian & Hindu history together, rather than throwing dirt on others based on biased reading of history.
Jai Hindutva 🙏
