I don't know I'm the only one that feels copywriting is not so hard to crack.
I may be wrong though.
If you still have a knack for learning copywriting but it's just too hard...
Here's how I'd advise that you go about it.
Read these 3 books:
- Scientific Advertising
- The Robert Collier Letter book
- The Boron Letters
I know most people say these books are overrated but they worked for me
And the brilliant minds I've met in this space swear by these books too
You'll learn the principles of persuasion in them.
Now, you're done reading the books.
I don't care how many times you read them as much as you being able to remember what you've learnt inside.
You may have to study them at least twice each (depends on you).
Let's get to the harder part where most people lose interest.
I'd probably not do it if not because of 30-day writing challenge by @andy_mukolo
Sign in to swiped.co
You'll find sales letters and ads that were written by the old masters.
Most of them are very old (letters written before you and I were born)
Tick the "control" box and swiped.co will show you ads that have been proven to win against ads written by other writers.
Pick just 4 of them.
Handwrite 1 everyday for one week.
Like I said earlier, it's hard and I don't expect you to do it unless
You're serious about mastering copywriting.
By the end of the month, you'd have written 4 ads 7 times each...
And you'd have imprinted the framework of great ads in your head.
You'd have seen the information you learnt in the books applied over and over.
Try to click as many ads as possible online to see how the writers are passing their information.
Do you like how the writer closed the sales letter?
Steal it and save it somewhere you can find it when situation demands.
They're raw materials for inspiration.
It's time to create your samples and test all you've been learning.
Pick any product you want.
Do the research and read as many ads that have been written for that product ad as possible.
Create something similar to them and try to make them better.
Can you come up with a better lead?
Can you present the offer in a better way?
Do you think the guarantee could be made better?
But wait, how do you know if a lead is weak?
Lol. It's simple.
You don't have to be creative.
If you've been studying ads regularly...
You will be quick to spot stuffs that can be made better.
Your brain subconsciously connects the dots.
Keep on sharpening your skill!
Are you still serious about learning copywriting?
Create an email you won't be needing for anything important...
And subscribe to emails from Agora.
They'll spam you with loads of email everyday.
You don't mind. Do you?
Open emails that catch your attention and study.
You're feeding yourself with quality information that you'll use for your clients when they come.
You don't have to come up with anything from scratch.
Just borrow the idea and tweak it to fit your situation.
Writing is that simple.
Study!
Practice!
Repeat!
Very soon, you'll be confident in your abilities to bang out good ads too.
I'm not confident yet too though (lol)
Want more edge as a copywriter?
You should learn marketing and sales too.
Follow YouTube channels of people like:
Frank Kern
Todd Brown
@russellbrunson
Kyle Milligan
There are a lot more I can't remember now.
I believe YouTube algorithm will recommend the other ones if you follow these ones.
Now, moving to Client Acquisition (where the money is)...
Save yourself the trouble and follow @andy_mukolo
He shares a lot of info
For free.
If you have a little cash on your hands and want
to...
- Shortcut the time it takes you to become a great writer...
- have a proven game plan for acquiring and monetizing clients
- have a network of like-minded people who support you every step of the way
Everything I've mentioned is just a drop in the ocean of what Andy shared in his FCI course.
It costs 40k at the moment and a lot of people agree it's too cheap for the info inside.

I'm still learning too.
I read great ads on more days than not.
I try to write everyday even if it's just a tweet.
