I’ve been using this site (remember the Legacy version?) since the early 2000’s. Everyone I speak to uses it. Half the time, they don’t even realise until I show them, then they’re like “Oh yeah pretty much every day.” 😆

If you’ve been following me, you know I am VERY particular about the Quran and its readings, translations and tafsir, and translations of tafsir!
It is my life’s work and mission to make all this essential knowledge available to everyone with ease and accuracy.

I’ve achieved a few things, but the ambitions are huge. I spelled some out in my 2018 paper ‘The Digital Mufassir’. I tried to get university fellowships to work on these materials, and funding to hire developers.

My friend Amer founded @Quran_Reflect and brought me on to take care of Quality & Guidance. Then there was a merger with Quran•com which resulted in this new non-profit Quran.Foundation governing both sites. Crucially, it’s clear about the central role of *content*.
Through Q•F, I am empowered to curate, create and commission the work we need on core Quranic materials such as translations and tafsirs.
All this will be made freely available to millions of users worldwide.
