Easiest way to double your income is to double the amount your existing customers spend.
Here's 10 proven ways to boost your customer lifetime value (CLV) in the next 30 days:
There are 3 ways to increase your revenue.
Increase the number of customers
Increase the average order value
Increase the number of times someone buys from you.
Most focus on just one—acquiring customers. By ignoring the other two, they’re missing out on revenue opportunities.
Here’s how to earn more without having to acquire any more customers:
1) High Ticket backend
You’ve heard it before I’m sure but this is truly the easiest way to scale your income.
If your initial product is good enough, you’ll have around 10% of the customer base looking to upgrade to the next thing.
Best ways to offer a high ticket backend are:
Masterminds
In-person events
1-1 support
Done for you
Higher-level group coaching
2) Order bump
An order bump is an upgrade option that they see on the checkout page just before they are about to buy for the first time.
This should be something simple to explain, and compliments the original product.
This is a spontaneous purchase so it needs to be something very clear. It should require anything thinking from the prospect to understand what it is or whether they need it.
If I was offering FB ad coaching good examples would be:
7 Facebook ad templates
100-page ad swipe file
List of best-performing audiences
3) OTO
This is a one-time offer your customer see right after they buy the initial product.
Important: You can’t sell more of the same thing here. You need to solve the next problem your prospect would encounter.
Example for FB ad coaching:
Funnel templates
Funnel course
Help with offer creation
Offering more coaching on FB ads here would not be as effective even if I was offering more personalized coaching. We need to solve different problems.
4) Referral program
Offer a referral program exclusively for customers.
Make it a no-brainer for them to share with friends. Make it a lucrative offer.
Ex: 50% commision.
“All you have to do is refer 2 people to this program and you’ve got it for free!”
Easy AF.
5) Affiliate offers
This works great for business coaching.
It’s likely they will need software to run their business online.
In your course have a section where you run through your software stack recommendations and have affiliate links in the member's area.
Examples for business coaching:
Clickfunnels for funnels
Active campaign for emails
This is the easiest way to add 5 figures a month to your coaching business.
This is 100% ethical. You’ve sold them the workout plan, now it’s just about offering them the gym membership, the supplements, and the workout gear that they would need to buy anyway.
6) Collaborations
I don’t see that many people doing this but it’s a no-brainer.
Ask yourself:
What other problems does your customer need to solve and who solves them?
Collaborate with other coaches, negotiate a discount on their programs for your customers.
Example for FB ad coaching.
I would collab with a funnel and email coach.
And I would get a commission for every customer I send them.
You earn more money per customer, the other coach gets customers for free and you give your customer a good deal they can't get anywhere else
7) Improve the onboarding process
People underestimate this.
Most of your customer's success is determined by how they are onboarded into your program.
Good experience = Momentum, motivation, and execution.
Bad experience = buyer's remorse, lack of belief, and motivation.
They are only going to buy from you again, or recommend you to someone else if they have a good customer experience. Focus on this.
8) Create a community
This is the best way to help your customers get more out of your program.
Give them a space to engage with like-minded people. This improves loyalty and because of that CLV.
The best example of this is ClickFunnels and its funnel hacking community.
9) Raise your prices
99% of coaches need to do this.
Nuff said.
10) Free consultation call
Offer a free consultation call for all customers.
This improves the customer experience and likeliness that they go through and consume all of the content.
This will increase repeat purchases and recommendations.
PLUS this is a great chance to offer them different upgrades and services.
When done right that can 3X the value of each customer.
My first offer was a $100 course and we offered everyone a complimentary onboarding call.
On that call, we sold a 5k product.
100 sales = $10,000
5% buy 5k = $25,000
$35,000 / 100 = $350 per customer
