Less than 4% of stock pickers beat the market.
Many have gone dead broke trying.
A select few have made billions.
Here are the ways it's been done:
There are 4 schools of thought:
-Fundamental / Value Analysis: What's it worth, is it undervalued
-Technical Analysis: Charts and market movements
-Sector-Specific Analysis: Maniacally focusing on one sector
-Downside Analysis: Shorting inflated assets
Fundamental analysis evaluates stocks by attempting to measure their intrinsic value.
Technical analysis differs, in that traders look to statistical trends in the stock's price and volume.
Both are used for researching and forecasting future trends in stock prices
