I guess now its that time of the Twitter season, when some guy will tweet "Don't worry, your 10th/12th marks aren't important" and 12679 people will say that "You idiots 12th is everything, without that you will not get into IIM ABC and your life is doomed and wasted"
The worst thing twitter has done is the reductionism that it has brought to the academic discourse.

Many of the IIM ABC guys end up starting their careers in sales, where many of them are begging to guys who have barely cleared std 12th to save them on the month end.
Most of their careers are Shaped by those very guys, who the Twitter pundits will dismiss as useless.

I understand that a good college gives you better opportunities, opens more doors and more chances of failure.
But that doesn't mean if you don't go to one, you are absolutely hopeless and you won't get anywhere in your life.
