I spent over 50 hours studying 100+ ad copies from the world's most legendary copywriters that sold over 6 figures each
Turns out, they all follow ONE simple framework
Here's 5 straightforward steps to write words that sell on any platform:
1. Create interest and curiosity immediately
The headline, subsection, and first few sentences are imperative
What you write here is the difference between your prospect reading more or closing the tab
Spend the most amount time here or you'll regret you didn't
2. Instill drama
Invoke emotion with drama. Do this successfully by:
β€’ Creating tension by identifying your customer's problem
β€’ Building desire for their need to satisfy said problem
β€’ Using specific visual words to accomplish the two points above
You must do all three
2b. Specific and visual
That movie was good. (boring)
That horror movie was riveting. (ok..)
That horror movie had me on the edge of my seat the entire 2 hours. My heart was beating from start to finish and when it ended I was pleading for there to be more! (better)
You see?
3. Position your offer as the sole solution
People will rationalize their purchase with logic
Once you build the desire to solve a problem, logically provide a solution that will fulfill that desire
This will put your offer into a lone category in the reader's mind
4. Proof is in the pudding
Prove that what you're selling can do what you're saying that it can do by using:
β€’ Benefits
β€’ Real testimonials
β€’ Case studies with specific numbers
DON'T USE
β€’ Features
β€’ Fake testimonials
β€’ Case studies with rounded up/down numbers
4b. Like the king of copy once said: PROOF > everything
5. Ask for action
Copywriting is just writing if you don't ask for action
If you did all the steps above, inertia should carry your prospect and they'll be eager to buy
This could be an order form, directions, a phone call, an email signup- whatever works for your offer
That's a wrap!
