PORTLAND: The first Friday of every month I hold office hours at @bookswpictures on SE Division. This Friday, Sep 2nd I'll be there from 4- 6PM in the outdoor garden, wearing a mask & giving portfolio feedback to emerging comics artists. Details in the thread below:
Wear a good mask & bring 6-8 pages of comic book storytelling to show me. Not character designs, or covers, or stand-alone drawings- show me pages of storytelling with panels. I'll give you plenty of detailed feedback based on my 30 years in comics.
Cost? This is free.
Originals or copies? Copies are fine & w/your permission, I can make notes on them directly.
If you do bring originals, consider putting them in a portfolio instead of just schlepping a loose stack of paper. I do my best to handle w/care, but sweat happens.

One more thing: I only do this in person- not by zoom or email. I always get requests in my DMs to do critiques remotely, but thatβs just not something my schedule permits. The face to face work I do at BwP and with other local artists is all I can handle.
