Shamshad Ilyas (1342–1358 of Ilyas Shahi dynasty) had a terrible defeat at the hands of King Jayaraja Deva in 1352 in Present 'Nepal'

Inscriptions on a slab at Svayambhu Nath, Nepal reveals this failed invasion. It reads that Samasdina Ilyas broke and burnt Dharma Dhatu Stupa & banner of the Buddha on 1346 AD, Marga-Sirsha, 10th day. Ilyas was given a tough fight.

There is a Vamsavali in the reign of Jayasthiti Malla which mentions of draw upon the treasury from Pasupati temple (allowed only if there is a famine or war by enemy) in 468 and 2nd draw on 469 (1348AD). The war continued several months.

Nepal was free from Invaders and in 1349 AD Propitiation Ceremonies were performed after Ilyas was defeated in a tough battle that continued for 2 years.
