I am a Bernie Sanders supporter who wrote 2 books on strengthening the regulatory state (read them) but even I can see how this will be abused to make endangered, extinct.

This is not good. This just fuels polarization. It will end in total destruction of science. You can't just criticize your opponent science when half of your recs are based on nothing credible

Before @FLSurgeonGen joined DeSantis he was a Black man MD PHD from Harvard, a well respected academic, whose colleagues describe as Brilliant. Those attributes don't vanish because he touched DeSantis. I don't agree with all Fl choices but to target him like this is unhelpful
DeSantis has a huge chance of being president someday. It's hard not to feel that at least some of the selective use of 'misinformation' label is trying to torpedo that.
