Chhath Puja is a four day festival dedicated to Surya devta and Chhathi Maiya to show gratitude and request of Granting of certain wishes which is celebrated with Rigorous and strict manner after 6th day of Diwali in Karthik Month of every year
First day of Chhath Puja Celebrated as Nahay Khay in which devotees take bath from ganga jal and the surroundings of the house are purified with Ganga Jal, take only one-time meals of kaddu-bhhat which is cooked in bronze or clay utensils by using mango wood fire in Chulha
Second Day of Chhath Puja Celebrated as Kharna in which devotees hold Vrat for a whole day and break their Vrat after worship of Surya dev in the evening with Rasiao-kheer and puris along with fruits after it devotees again do Nirjala Vrat for the next 36 hours
Third day of Chhath Puja is Celebrated as Sanjhiya Arghya where devotees offer at the riverside then they wore turmeric colour saree in night where they celebrates Kosia Bharai by lighting clay diyas under 5 sugarcane sticks and chants folk songs of Chhathi Maiya whole night
Final day of Chhath Puja in which devotee along with family offer Bihaniya Aragh early morning to rising Sun and requesting Certain wishes and end their Vrat by Distributing Prasad among all devotees in Chhath Ghat and the Chhath Puja celebration ends here
Devotees offers all the seasonal fruits and vegetables available in the market to Surya devta and Chhathi maiya as per their Wish and Capablities and request their certain wishes to get fulfilled
