halloween’s origins can be traced back to the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain. Celtic people believed that souls of the dead & evil spirits returned to the physical world during this time. Celts believed that demons, fairies, goblins roamed around the earth on this day.
this pagan religious celebration was held to welcome the harvest at the end of summer. however, in the eighth century, nov 1st was designated as a day to honour saints. the evening before all saints day became ‘all hallows eve’ which later became ‘halloween’.
until the mid-20th century, the treats which children received during trick or treating which originated from the celts were things like fruit, nuts, coins and toys. the sugary candy wave became the norm after candy companies decided to market perfectly wrapped candy.
however, now halloween is a distorted, commercialised version of the Samhain festival. it has turned into an unintentional celebration of evil. its bizarre how when the topic of halloween comes up, the average person thinks of candy & costumes rather than the sinister basis of it
back to my main point which is that halloween holds a much darker reality behind. John Ramirez a former satanist talks about how the celebration of halloween is a form of opening a portal between you and the Devil. it is an invitation to be cursed for generations to come.
he says that if you have realised the truth but have celebrated halloween in the past, you must go back to where you celebrated it first and renounce in the name of God to have mercy on you and close the portal that was opened unintentionally.
halloween traditions should be about praising God instead of worshipping satan. halloween should be a time where children are taught of their ancestors. to nurture connections to their roots. prepare ancestral meals and desserts. pray for the dead.
this post was made to show you another side of halloween that you might have never been exposed to. i won’t be replying to comments or answering further questions due to personal reasons of wanting to put the topic of halloween way behind me.
