It amazes me as to how here peers at @rutgersU maintain silence at her lies.

Now the reason why the series of Muslim invasions are called Islamic conquest is because all the invasions were carried out in the name of Islam & to establish an Islamic State in India. The motive was very well defined & clear.
Here she pushes a Tibetan monk to make a false claim. We will see why this is a piece of utter nonsense in following tweets.
AT very cleverly tries to mislead here congregation by putting out half truths. For instant she tells us about a Tibetan monk but hides his identity. She says Nalanda was 'operational', as if it was a restaurant churning out litti chokhha in 13th century.
The monk she mentions was Dharmasvamin from Tibet, who came to Nalanda to study Sankrit Grammar, so that he can translate Buddhist texts into Tibetan. He recorded his journey to India & it was discovered in Lahsa much later. So does he give the islamic invaders a clean chit? No.
During his stay in Bihar he mentions the murdering Islamic armies on several occasions. Including a personal encounters with two muslims soldiers who almost killed him on a boat. His host a king of Mithila even reinforced troops to ward off invasion by Khilji.
It was also the time of lawlessness, the Hindu/Buddhist kings were unable to assert authority & the invading armies were indulged in rampant lootings.
It was not just Nalanda that was sacked. Any city or town in the path of the invading armies met the same fate. Vikramshila was so utterly destroyed that even stones from its foundations were hurled into the Ganga.
The ancient image of Buddha was walled off at Bodhgaya to save it from destruction by the invaders.
As per the eye witness account of Dharmasvamin, Nalanda was almost completely destroyed by Islamic armies. Of the 98 monastries & 7 temples only 2 viharas remained. That according to AT is survival. Imagine her saying, 'since there are so many Jews alive, it was not a holocaust.
This account of Dharmasvamin also shatters the myth of Hindu - Buddhist wars. He clearly mentions a rich Brahmana disciple supporting the 90 yr old Guru Rahula & other students.
So how did the two Viharas survived, or rather why? Dharmasvamin mentions a legend saying one of the soldiers involved in desecration died the same evening, setting in a superstition among the army. There are however, more practical reasons proposed for the survival.
During his stay at Nalanda a 300 strong contingent of the invaders appeared at Nalanda, once again. Though we don't know what happened, it is likely that the army did further damage to the already destroyed university.
During his stay at Nalanda, Dharmasvamin doesn't mention translating any of the manuscripts from the libraries of Nalanda. This means that the library was already destroyed when he was there.
I sincerely hope that AT's peers would stand up against her lies & call her out. Meanwhile organisations like @HinduAmerican and people like @SuhagAShukla should keep calling out her lies.
