Israel is all set for a far right-wing coalition led by Netanyahu. Both the Ultra-Orthodox party and the Religious Zionist party have done much better than before. 64% of Israeli Jews identify as right wing now.
All the coalition partners have different but overlapping demands, from increased role of religion in Israeli life, more leeway for ultra-Orthodox regulations, continued bans on civil marriages for LGBTQ and anti-Palestine sentiments.
All the Israeli RW parties seem to hate the judiciary and want powers to overrule the Israeli Supreme Court and appoint judges at will, thus removing the last roadblock to settlement of Palestinian territory currently considered unlawful to annex.
The Otzma Yehudit faction of the Religious Zionist party (Israel's 3rd largest party) has is led by Ben Gvir, a Mizrahi-Kurdish Jew who used to hang a portrait of Baruch Goldstein in his living room, an American Jew who massacred 30 Palestinian Muslims in the Hebron massacre.
Ben-Gvir took part in the clashes between Israeli Jewish settlers & the local Palestinian residents, brandishing a gun, telling the police to shoot at Palestinians throwing stones at the scene, & yelling at them that “We’re the landlords here, remember that, I am your landlord.
