Your kids’ love of learning and self-direction is being killed by school.
But you can rekindle that love at home — in the open spaces between work and life, and entirely for free.
These 4 books will help you start 👇
1. In his autobiography, @thecolesummers wrote about how:
• at age 10, he bought and flipped a house
• by age 11, he owned his own ranch
• by age 14, he published a book
Cole was capable of so much — he just needed to space to go chase it. Your kids are, too.
2. Most kids are being smothered by a lack of freedom.
When kids lack control over their own lives, they become stressed and unmotivated (Read: most kids in school).
When they have control, they become inspired.
This book is a great resource on granting your kids that space.
3. In generations past, kids were allowed to run wild in the natural world. It was part of their education.
21st century kids aren’t getting that, and they’re starving for it.
What if your kids’ apathy is coming from a lack of green in their metaphorical diet?
4. While @Kerry_edu’s book is about unschooling, the principles it covers apply to all kids — home full-time or not.
One of the core tenets of unschooling is trusting your kids.
Bringing more of that into their lives can dramatically increase their self-direction.
In order to thrive, your kids need more space for creativity, exploration, and joy than school can give them.
Each of these are things you can give them at home. These books will give you a great jumping-off point.
