The first group is largely libertarian with a Rothbardian slant, and growing more right-wing every year. The second group is path of least resistance liberal. The third group is, of course, woke. The first group has been quietly seething for a long time.
Elon just blew the load off the quiet seething. These people are going to flock to Twitter and smash the hell out of technical problems. The first attempted attack on Musk, getting everyone to quit, will fail because Twitter daycare email employees were worthless.
If the subsequent attacks on Twitter, via legal and press, fail or stall, Twitter will become a mecca for all this latent gynocracy-suppressed talent. A center of raw masculinity and genius, with an unapologetic good old boys culture.
The attacks against Musk are likely to fail through the power of will and charisma alone. The Valley is going to split not into woke and not-woke, but woke and dissident, not just dissident but a positive alternative. Obviously Palantir and Anduril will join Twitter.
But then people will be shocked that Zuckerberg, Andressen, Bezos, and possibly others will have been secretly on Elonโs side the whole time. Silicon Valley will become an alternative nexus of power to the beltway.
