Vastra dharana is to cover up private parts, helps destroy paapa & provides siddhi of even moksha if the vastra dharana was vihita.
Women should cover themselves in such a way that NΔbhi isn't shown and the cloth should extend upto ankle, no displaying breasts.

3. No copulation during menstruation, pregnancy, upto a year from the birth of a child and on Ashtami, Chaturdashi, Amavasya, Pournima, day of Shraddha, Tridina vrata (Dashami, Ekadashi, Dwadashi) & other vratas.
