2022 is coming to a close. Here is a list of 5 books that I learnt the most from:
1. The Personalized Diet by Dr Eran Segal (amzn.eu)
This book highlighted the fact that each one of us can have different outcomes for the same food we eat. A great help to get fit.
2. How the world really works by Vaclac Smil
(amzn.eu)
For those who love to know how facts run the world and which ones matter. A book that will give you a wide view of the world, from top to bottom.
3. Poor Charlie's Almanack: The Wit and Wisdom of Charles T. Munger by Peter D. Kaufmann
(amzn.eu)
I am not sure why I didn't read this book early in my life. It echos with how I think and function. The multidisciplinary apporach that the book espouses is a treat.
4. Prisoners of Geography by Tim Marshall
(amzn.eu)
I love geography. Your world view is incomplete without history, mingled with politics. This book will help you create your own world view, with logic reasons.
5. The New Map by Daniel Yergin
(amzn.eu)
If you don't understand energy and the geopolitics associated with it, you are missing out on a lot. Energy is so central to investing, but few understand it. This is a great place to start. A must read.
I find book summaries incomplete and probably an injustice to authors who take great pains to write such amazing books. So read these books from front to back.
I keep sharing my reading list here.
