@Hadithoftheday It is mandatory for menstruating women to break their fast and to make up for the days they missed later on after Ramadan.
A woman must count the days that she did not make up for, then fast them as soon as possible..

If one fails to count these days or be certain of their exact number, one should make up for the days that ons is sure of or think are most likely sufficient

“and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number [of days which one did not observe Sawm (fasts) must be made up] from other days.” [al-Baqarah 2:185].

Making up fasts missed due to a menstrual cycle is obligatory. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would command women who had menses to make up the fasts.
