Is one of your New year's resolution "weightloss"?
How many of you made a new year resolution to start a diet regimen or rigid exercise in order to lose weight?
Here is my advise on sustainable lifestyle changes which can also help in weight control👇
🔸I have a better suggestion👇
Focus on making choices that promote overall health, and your weight will calibrate accordingly.
Jumping on to easy fixes and forgetting about the day to day habits that are building blocks of our immune and mental health is not going to help!
🔸Look at the bigger picture: focus on resolving the gut issues, hormonal issues or any other clinical issue to improve your health along with which weight loss would come as a by-product.
This will aid in improvising the overall health and not just weight reduction.
🔸Balance, variety and moderation is the key!
The key to healthy eating is balance, variety and moderation.
In short, this means eating a variety of foods without getting too many calories or too much of any one nutrient.
Make sure to eat a variety of nutrient-rich foods
🔸Create long-term sustainable habits!
Rather than using a fad diets that's designed to give you temporary results, switch your focus on long-lasting habits.
🔸 Focus on eating the rainbow 🌈
Each of our bodies require range of nutrients to function optimally.A great way to get a variety of nutrients is by diversifying the foods you eat.
Sticking to same meals, limit the variety of nutrients one can get.
same foods= same nutrition.
🔸Develop a positive relationship with food:
Forming a healthy relationship with food takes conscious effort.
This includes relaxed eating, choosing preferences over positions,& practicing balance and flexibility in your eating.
These will let you feel more at peace with food
🔸Listen to your body:
Don't fall for quick fixes or miracle diets.
It is important to create sustainable dietary and lifestyle changes to optimise physical and mental health in a long lasting way, so listen to your body and find what works best for you!
🔸The keys to weight-loss success:
Successful weight management requires long-term changes to your eating habits and physical activity.
This means you need to find an approach you can embrace for life.
🔸Successful weight loss requires a long-term commitment to making healthy lifestyle changes in eating, exercise and behavior.
Behavior modification is vital, and could have the greatest impact on your long-term weight-loss efforts.
