3 Most Powerful things I learnt in 2022.
That I am going to apply FOREVER, in my life.
[A thread...]
[1] Life is NOT binary:-
- You can EITHER achieve career success or find work life balance.
- You can EITHER invest in stocks or in your skill growth.
- You can EITHER do an MBA or become an entrepreneur.
If you think "Binary", you are missing out.
We are capable of doing much more than we can imagine.
I truly believe that: you can live in Goa (or a place of your choice), find work-life balance, work remotely, make a lot of money, start multiple businesses, inspire others, have free time for yourself.
Best part: you can do all this working just 3-4 hours a day.
How do I know? Because I am doing it.
It all starts, if you actually believe it. And, take control of your time, health and wealth.
You can't improve your life, without first improving the quality of your thinking
[2] If money can help you buy time, do it:
For example: many people debate if they should hire a personal fitness trainer or fly business class or buy an online class.
The math is simple:
[1] Calculate how much time would the above move save you?
[2] Calculate your per hour money making rate.
[3] If the math adds up, then do it.
For example: if hiring a personal trainer helps you save 5 hour in the gym (because you might have to train less). And, you are paying 10K monthly.
And, your hourly rate is 3K per hour.
Then money saved= 3*5= 15K, money spent= 10K
Good decision? yes.
Most people struggle to make quick decisions on money because:
1. They indulge in luxuries that don't help them save time.
2. They don't know their per hour money making rate.
[3] Build 0.1% powerful network
[1] Attend 0 events.
[2] Send 0 cold emails.
[3] Make 0 effort networking.
Just be in the 0.1% of what you do.
And, you will have top 0.1% most powerful network.
Why?
Human nature: because other folks want to hang out with folks, who matter.
Yes, by all means: if you NEED the network to be in the top 0.1% of your field, do it. And maybe obsess about it.
But, also understand that there are several career paths, where you don't NEED to network to be in the top 0.1%.
So yeah, relax. Watch the beautiful sunset rather.
