Here to remind you all that hard work stopped paying a long time ago. That toughing it out became non- viable ages ago. I've never confessed on here. Actually joined two days ago. And lots of advice has been given by medical professionals on here and to that advice some people
have been skeptical and bashed it. To the confession of pain-killers for menstrual pain, people said "but I don't want to get addicted, what do they do to your liver..". And then seen one for learning disorders like ADHD and still somebody said "Do not take the meds unless in
extreme cases". As a doctor myself, I understand those arguments. Valid, btw. But I think why Ugandans keep on making such frail arguments is because of the problem we have in this country of self-medicating and self-prescribing. So people do not have the actual facts of how
amazing these medications are under the guidance of a licensed, qualified, experienced professional. Most people just run to clinics and their experiences with a drug is based on that myopic level. I would love to tell you that there's people to whom we doctors prescribe pain
medication everyday. And it's safe for them to, under guidance. Now you who fears to take a painkiller for crumps for only 3 days, where is your fear based? Limited information! Same goes to that person who was waiting for extremes for ADHD drugs. No! Consult with a professional.
Trust that your doctors know a lot more than you do. And that they'll make the right call. We've lost so many years of development as Africans. So many days. So many hours. To fearmongering. There's a German woman inventing a groundbreaking software program right now because they
took the right medications for their cramps this morning and for you the Ugandan what are you doing? - Folded up in bed or bentover and flinching in pain at work because "painkillers are bad". You're not getting any world points for being tough. You're just getting left behind.
