They trusted and relied on God (v. 17). It was this kind of confidence and trust that allowed them to regard death as straw. They despised death, which lurked in all its fears and powers. They put their trust in the living God. By that faith, they chose to suffer rather than sin.
Therefore, they were able to overcome the king's wrath without fear. Because by faith they beheld the invisible (Hebrews 11:25, 27). "If so, if we are in trouble, if we are to be thrown into the fiery furnace for not serving the king's gods, then you should know the following."
"We do not worship the king's gods, but we are not atheists. We have a God we can call our God, and we faithfully spearhead him." "We serve this God. We are dedicated to his honor. We are engaged in his work, and we depend on him for our protection, our reward, and our reward."
“We are sure that this God can deliver us out of the fiery furnace. We firmly believe that the will of God is somehow able to prevent us from being thrown into the furnace or to rescue us from the furnace. " God has the power to uphold his servants to the end, and the power to
control and overwhelm all the rulers armed against them. Faithful servants of God will realize that God is the Master of such power. "Lord, if you will, you can." “We have reasons to hope that God will deliver us.” The reasons are twofold. For God's prestige would not be greatly
exalted if he rescued them from the presence of so many idolaters. Another reason is that Nebuchadnezzar asked, "Which god will be who will deliver you out of my hand?" because it challenged God sometimes performs miracles not only to answer the prayers of his people but also
to silence the blasphemy of his enemies (Psalm 74:18-22; Deuteronomy 32:27). "But even if God does not rescue us from the raging furnace, He will deliver us from the king's hand." Nebuchadnezzar could only torment and kill the body. After that, he can do nothing more. Then they
will escape from Nebuchadnezzar's influence and will be rescued from his hand. Notice that while we are with God, the assurance that God will be with us and good thoughts about God are a great help in overcoming hardships. If God wants us, we need not fear what man will do to us.
No matter how evil people do to us, God will deliver us from death or death. Daniel's three friends did not doubt the power of God's salvation through the words God spoke through the prophet Isaiah long ago. It is a word we know well. In the words of the three friends mentioned,
there is no expectation of special miracles or superstitious thoughts about salvation. Based on their faith in Jehovah, they are consistent with faith in God and humble obedience to everything that will happen in the future. Daniel's three friends had a clear belief that even
if King Nebuchadnezzar threw them into the midst of a fiery fiery furnace, God would be with them and protect them. So let's look at verse 17 again. "If so, O king, our God, whom we serve, will be able to deliver us from the blazing furnace and deliver us from the hand of
the king." What a beautiful faith It was a courageous belief.
