And what is the truth? President Trump refused to accept his electoral loss. Instead he attempted to stop the peaceful transition of power through various means, culminating in 1/6 when he called his most extreme supporters to the Capitol, riled them up with one of the most

anti-American speeches ever given on these shores, and sent them up Capitol Hill in a vainglorious attempt to stop Congress from performing its Constitutional duty to certify the election. This resulted in a grotesque spectacle of violence at the very steps of the US Capitol. One

of the most heartbreaking sights ever witnessed. It resulted in Congress being stopped temporarily and the peaceful transition of power temporarily interrupted. It resulted in many serious injuries. It resulted in deaths. It continues to poison our body politic and may yet result

in killing the root of the tree of liberty. January 6th was one of the worst days in our country’s history and, while many bear fault, one man is ultimately to blame. That man was the president who turned his back on the Constitution. Donald Trump.
