Contrary to the image that some promote, the vast majority of the Arab officers in the Ottoman military remained loyal to the Ottomans during the Arab revolt.
Even some Arab officers known for nationalist sympathies remained staunchly loyal, as noted in the paper with the case of Yasin al-Hashimi. Also see the sources mentioning his refusal to join Sharif Hussein's revolt.

It seems even the nationalists back then had some minimal standards. This is not to say no officer ever defected, I am speaking of majority
The majority of them did not rebel, and some even continued to fight for the Turks against colonial powers during the Turkish War of Independence
