The loyalty and nationalism of Nigerians will be automatic to Nigerian state when those in power put in place policies and programmes that promote the greatest good of the vast majority of Nigerians. And when actions and policies are not done to promote selfish interest of cabals
Nigerians are good people. They love themselves and their country. But those who have responsibilities to lead by examples have chosen to lead us astray. They ruled without respect for law and order. The leadership that is lawless should not expect the citizens to be lawfully.
That is why lawlessness has become our habit. Leadership has returned us to state of nature where the mighty is right. Leaders live in unaccounted affluence while the rest live in abject poverty. Those who challenge the leaders are seen as rebels and saboteurs. This is our bane
Once leaders lead by good examples Nigerians will follow. Nigerians donβt discriminate. Nigerians of all shades celebrate Nigerians doing well. When Jay Jay and Amokachi were on the field in those days nobody cared where they came from. It is bad leader that leads to tribalism.
It is bad leadership that has accounted for turn by turn tribal cravings of leadership in Nigeria. Leaders need to examine themselves. Democracy is being denied Nigerian people because of bad leadership. Those who put themselves forward as politicians must learn to respect laws.
