This is my 16 year old baby sister, Riti Saha.
So full of life, bubbly, cherpy, determined, in all... a happy lively girl!
She wanted to be a doctor & serve the poor & the marginalized.
After her 10th standard she went to Vizag for coaching in Aakash Byjus!

14th of July'23 is the unfateful day when her life was snubbed out of her, not just taking her life,as well destroying the happiness of an entire family forever
On this dreadful day she was preparing for her next day exam, she had an ice cream & was feeling confident about it

She called my father & told him she was well prepared & had a very normal conversation.
Just before midnight my father,Mr. Sukdeb Saha received a call from the ABM of Aakash Byjus, Mr. Ravikant, informing us that my sister has fallen from the 4th floor terrace of her hostel

building & has been rushed to the nearby Venkatrama hospital. The ABM said she fell around 10.20 pm.On the very same call, which was a conference call(we were not aware),the warden interrupted the ABM & said,"No no, she fell from the staircase of 3rd flr & landed on 1st flr.

We rushed from Kolkata,for Vizag and reached the hospital at around 2 p.m., she was alive, her eyes flickering & she was on ventilation. Though the hospital said that was an ICU room,but it didn't look like it,as it was full of patients & people moving around.

Venkatrama is a relatively new hospital,w/o even a proper neuro department, by the time we moved her to Care hospital a lot of crucial time was lost & she had already had a cardiac arrest.Initially Care hospital gave us a few +ve signs,like the clot in the brain was gone, however

the next day around 12 p.m. she had another cardiac arrest and had multiple organ failure and passed away.
When we went to the police station to lodge an FIR for a murder the cops refused to take an FIR and registered the case. Aakash Byjus tried to offer money to my father . .

through his friends who had come to support us from Kolkata. The cops suggested that they should do out of court settlement and not get into the JHAMELA of lawyers & courts!!!
This ofcourse was rejected,as no amount of money can get our Riti back to us!

The very short video footage of the cctv that we received from the cops shows that a girl in a calf length nighty is walking up the stairs with an ipad in her hand, however the cctv footage that we have received from the neighbor, in whose compound she had fallen,

Clearly shows she was wearing a tshirt with a dark pair of shorts!!!
We got her body and returned to Kolkata on the 18th of July and we have not been contacted/called/update/informed ANYTHING about the case!

So on 7th of August my father went to AP, and on 8th filed a writ petition in the Honorable High Court of Andra Pradesh at Amaravati,declaring the in action of the cops in collecting the cctv footages and other evidences from the hostel or from the hospitals.

The cops are helbent to prove Riti committed suicide,which we strongly believe is not the case.We are highly grateful to the Honorable Judge of AP, HC who heard our side patiently & appointed a court commissioner to collect all the possible cctv footages & other evidences related

to the case asap.
However,all the evedinces were destroyed!
After seeing all this & going from pillar to post for full 12 hours,the commissioner herself was highly disappointed & said that the case has been highly mishandled!
No samples were preserved,the scene was not secured.

Now the court has ordered that the respondents has to submit the reports within 21 days ro the HC.
Also the court appointed Commissioner will be submitting her report within 15 days.

As law abiding citizens we hv full faith in our judiciary & our constitution to help us get justice for our beloved sister/daughter Riti Saha.
This fight isn't a fight just for my sister, we want this case to work as a deterrent in the future!
