the criminal Basel al-Assad was born in Damascus in 1962. He was the eldest son of Hafez al-Assad and was being prepared to succeed his father in power. However, he passed away in 1994 under conflicting circumstances.
Some say he died in a car accident, while others claim he was killed in a bombing near Damascus International Airport.
Basel had a keen interest in horse racing. At that time,he was known as the "Golden Knight" and was bestowed with many titles such as Colonel,Engineer, and Paratrooper. His position in the world of equestrian sports and show jumping was only made possible by his position of power
"Here is the story of the brave knight who defeated the criminal Basel al-Assad in a horse racing competition."
Adnan Qassar, a Syrian knight, was brought down from his horse into the depths of prisons to be forgotten for 21 years, simply because he outperformed the criminal Basel al-Assad in the race
Adnan is the true Golden Knight and the captain of the Syrian Equestrian Team. Even in prison, Adnan Qassar, the champion of the Balkan tournament, never lost hope.
He would carve horses on bars of soap inside his cell, hoping that one day he would be released to pursue his sport and live the life he was deprived of.
