My most common comment to couples I begin working with is that they have the foundation of a great relationship. And it's true.
Often, this is shocking because right now, on the verge of divorce, they feel 1000 feet apart, each perched on the abyss of loneliness and despair. π

Once we begin the process of restoring appreciation, kindness, respect, and goodwill, they become ecstatic and exclaim that I am performing miracles.

The truth is simple. I'm merely helping each of them reveal the love and connection they already have, which has been covered up by the harshness of life.
Because they chose each other for a reason. And that reason is still right there, below a surface of pain and hurt. π

When we work together to infuse the relationship with positivity, gratitude, kindness, and respect, miracles happen.

My favorite is to read my notes back to my clients at the end of the program, reminding them of why they came to me in the first place.
They are shocked, as they don't even remember what bothered them so much to begin with.
Thankfully for them, those days are long gone.π

While it always helps when both are vested, so much change can happen individually as well.
