Out of craving for an arcade racing game, I tried out Forza Horizon 5, and the gameplay mechanics feel great... but I still returned it after an hour because of the unskippable cutscenes.
Apparently Forza has had unskippable cutscenes for years. How can anyone enjoy this?
It's a shame because the actual gameplay is exactly what I'm looking for β€” not too realistic, but not "glued to the ground" GTA V toddler physics, either.
The problem is *getting to the gameplay* β€” constant interruptions with annoying cutscenes full of annoying "characters"
I can understand putting lots of cutscenes in a story-driven game designed for someone who's interested in that.
I just want to race cool cars and the only options are either this or full-blown unfun simulator autism β€” or games from 20 years ago
Have not tried it, lots of people were saying it's too buggy to justify buying. Maybe they are wrong?
I guess these really are meant for console players and it shows...
