@saurabhsattvic @rahulssverma @sarkar_swati What I have written is common knowledge for anyone who knows basics of linguistics. The professor you tagged is absolutely clueless on this subject. This image from "The Indo Aryan languages" by Colin. P . Masica, a professional Sanskrit linguist from Cambridge university
@saurabhsattvic @rahulssverma @sarkar_swati As you can see from this chart, Bengali-Assamese, Maithil and Oriya originate from Magahi Prakrit. I was responding to a hateful anti national separatist called Gargac. But since professor herself RTs/shares his separatist ideology, I am not sure why you are tagging me
@saurabhsattvic @rahulssverma @sarkar_swati This person called @sarkar_swati is one of the biggest frauds I know. Her tweets have no substance. She is all about hate and ignorance. She is the same person why talked about Bamiyan Buddhas in Swat. She cannot even understand that my tweet isn't talking about Hindi but Magadhi
@saurabhsattvic @rahulssverma @sarkar_swati As I said, it is the consensus of Professional linguists that Bengali comes from Magadhi. Saswati Sarkar whose proficiency in linguistics isn't even basic isn't qualified to talk about things she does not know. She is all about regional hate and bigotry
@saurabhsattvic @rahulssverma @sarkar_swati To embarass the professor further and expose her shallow knowledge, let me quote Kathleen Kuiper. It is not just those western Linguists.
Even Bengali linguists like Suniti Kumar Chaterji and Sukumar Sen say Bengali had its origin in Magadhi Prakrit.
