1. And we see the bees form their honeycombs using hexagons, not squares, circles, heptagons or any other shape. And the hexagon is a special shape, distinguished by a feature that is not found in any other, as proven by geometry.
2. This feature is based on several points. Firstly, because the most spacious of all shapes is the circle, due to it lacking any straight sides. Secondly, that if multiple circles are arranged into rows and columns, then there will remain vacant gaps between those circles.
3. Thirdly, that the closest of shapes to the circle, that uses the fewest sides, is the hexagon.
4. Fourthly, that all other shapes that are close to the circle, like the heptagon, and the octagon, and the pentagon, if they too were arranged into rows and columns, then there would also remain vacant gaps between them.
5. And as for an arrangement of squares, then they would not leave any gaps [if arranged into rows and columns], but they are not as spacious as the circle.
6. And since the bee needs its honeycombs to be formed by shapes that are close to circular, while not leaving any gaps between them when arranged to fit as many bees as possible into the honeycomb, it becomes clear that the hexagon is the ideal choice for this task.
7. So how could the bees have known such details, which are unknown to even most humans? Rather, the only Creator guided them to do what they needed. Indeed, His plan is carried out for them and by them, while they have no power to stop it.
8. And the examples of this are many with other animal species, if I listed even a few of them, hearts would be filled with awe for Allah Most High and His majesty. The end😊
