It is common knowledge that Construction of Taj Mahal was Started in 1632, and Cost was Around 30+ million Ruppes.
But, Something else happened between 1630-32, which People Don't know.
Here's the Story:
In 1630, Monsoon didn't played it's Usual part. Result was FAMINE.
Gujrat Suffered heavily.
A dutch Merchant described About Surat:
"We hardly could see any living persons, whole town was filled with Stench of Dead"
English Traveller, Peter Mundy Describes:
"People were so Hungry that they SOLD Their Kids for Food"
It wasn't limited to Gujrat only.
Mundy, passed through a Town named Nandurbar, Maharashtra.
He describes:
"People were searching for Food in Dung of Animals and sh!t of Humans."
"Highway between surat to This place, was strowed with DEAD bodies"
Whole of India was Affected by This.
From Gujrat to Sindh, to Masulipatam in South.
Another Dutch Merchant, Van Twist, Writes in His Report:
"Men lay dead in Great Numbers. People Resorted to EATING DEAD ANIMALS!"
"It was hard to find a healthy person. Everywhere, only eyes sunk deep in head,Pale lips, bony skin was visible"
Women SOLD themselves, Mothers Sold Their Kids.
Those who couldn't, Drowned themselves.
People who lay in the street, NOT dead yet, Were CUT UP & EATEN!!!
"Mother Cooked Her Only Son, Husbands had Eaten their Wives, Wives ATE their Husbands, Children ATE their parents!!!!"

In susuntra Village, Human Flesh was sold in open market
Yet, The Mughals (being Rulers), Did Nothing.
No relief from North, because Mughal Armies were Lying in the Route.
All the Grain, needed for Starving People, was Sent to Shah Jahan's Camp At Burhanpur!!!
