NIS holds Virtual Meeting with relevant Stakeholders on matters bordering on Residence&Visa amidst COVID-19 pandemic.
2. CGI Babandede MFR used the opportunity to announce the complete automation of the Temporary Work Permit (TWP) facility. He advised applicants
for the facility to visit immigration.gov.ng, click on the applicable link&apply.
3. He also talked about the Presidential Waiver in place for Visitors/Foreigners who had valid stay by 23rd of March 2020 who unfortunately have lost same due to the lockdown.
4. He further stated that such persons shall enjoy One Week grace period to leave the country when international flights are restored.
5. He called on the captains of industry/investors to avail themselves with the various platforms of the Service for meaningful engagement.
6. The meeting afforded the business community/individuals the opportunity to seek clarifications on a number of migration-related issues. Heads of all our Formations hooked up to the programme including Mr. Stephen Okon, a Director from the Ministry of Interior.
Mr Stephen Okon, Director at the Ministry attended the meeting at the Service Headquarters Abuja, venue of the meeting.
The Special Assistant to Mr. President on Ease of Doing Business, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole was also live on the Virtual meeting&made very useful contributions.
2. She commended the CGI for the initiative&particularly for expanding the room for meaningful engagement with stakeholders.
