Harry Kane and Son laid waste to Manchester United at Old Trafford yesterday.
Tottenham’s record since losing at home to Everton on the opening day now reads:
Played: 7
Won: 6
Drawn: 1
Lost: 0
Scored: 25
Conceded: 9
Has Mourinho finally cracked it in North London?
Aston Villa beating Liverpool 7-2 reminded me of those newspaper clippings you’d be shown as a kid from Boxing Day 1944 when all hell broke loose and teams were drawing 12-12 in the snow.
Liverpool have now conceded 11 in 4 PL games, they conceded 33 in 38 last season. Bonkers.
Newly promoted Leeds had more of the ball 52%-48%, more shots on target 7-2, created more big chances 5-0 and completed more passes 356-319 than Manchester City at Elland Road on Saturday evening.
Any newly promoted side who do that to Guardiola and co. deserve huge credit.
West Ham had another hugely impressive performance away at Leicester, Antonio bagged again, Fornals scored after one of the most beautiful first touches you'll ever see & Bowen scored a lovely one-on-one late on. Their fans must wonder how high they can go if Moyes stays at home.
Calvert-Lewin has 9 goals in all competitions, James Rodríguez has 3 goals and 3 assists, Everton have won all 7 of their games this season and sit top of the Premier League with a Champions League winner in charge. At the moment, the top 4 looks a genuinely realistic ambition.
