#Intercastemarriages are propagated as a taboo by the some hard liners and extremists. However, there are evidences of intercaste marriages from Indian history.

Gupta's Poona Copper Plate inscriptions states that Samudragupta’s son Chandragupta II ruled from c. 375- 415 A.D. He had a queen named Kubernaga, of Naga lineage, and from this marriage was born Prabhavatigupta.

The threaded incidences of intercaste marriages from eminent families & clans are recorded & survived few over a period of time. Since, #intercastemarriage was never a social issued in families of repute. We may consider that this was neither an issue in lower strata.
