LORD VISHNU IN BUDDHISM-IV
"विष्णुश्च वैष्णवनामते वरधर्मकेतु:"
"Arya Avlokiteshwara is Vishnu for Vaishnvites [Head of Vaishnav dhamma]"
~śrīmadāryāvalokiteśvarabhaṭṭārkasya
stotraṃ [Lokanath strotram], Mahayan Buddhist strotra section 37 , Verse no 3

Again Vishnu is recognised as Emanation of Bodhisattva Avlokiteshwara -
" नरायणोपि भुवनेश्वरेव तस्मात् पुंसाम् त्वमेव परमोत्तमेव नान्या: "
"You are ]Lord of world[ Narayana also
Hence You (Avlokiteshwara) are greatest of all [no one else] "

Here,
पुंसाम् परमोत्तम् = Greatest Among All Men is used for Avlokiteshwara
Which is clear indication of adoptation of word -" Purushottam" पुरूषोत्तम used for lord Narayana
