@kritister In the old Hagiographies of Saint Nicholas, there is nothing about Snow, Gifts, Children, Misletoe & Reindeers. These are all associated with pagan Goddess Freyja who was known as "Mother Christmas" until 19th century in Scandinavian countries.
@kritister In fact, even the Christmas Eve was known as Modraniht ("Mother's night"). What has any Middle Eastern monk got to do with this very Nordic festival?
