Fun Fact: The word ''India'' come from the Greek word Indica-Indos from River Indus which flows through Pakistan. Hindustan comes from Sindhi-Sindhu which also comes from river Indus-river used by Persian & Arab in past. India is a region like Europe/Africa it's not an Ethnicity
After defeating Persian empire Alexander entered the region of Indus and faced a Punjabi King Porus in the Jehlum in modern Pakistan. This was his most difficult battle which exhausted him and his forces completely and stopped him from going into Gangetic region of South Asia.
