I've had a long career as an educator: I've been a teacher for teenagers and adults, an administrator, a volunteer trainer of human rights educators, a researcher and am now a specialist. What have I learnt? A few thoughts (1/4). #WorldEducationDay
1. Access to #education. I live and work in #Finland where generally people have good access to #learning. Still, we should never take it for granted but always work towards increasing access and accessibility. #WorldEducationDay (2/4)
2. As an educator I need to challenge my own perception of what's best for learners every day and make the #learning process about them. It's a challenge after so many years of work and research in #education. #WorldEducationDay (3/4)
3. The best thing about working in #education is that it helps others reach their goals. I love working with #civilsociety organisations because #learning is cause-oriented: there is a real motivation for change and using learning to foster it. Happy #WorldEducationDay!
