A little-known battle - Battle of Upparapalli [ 1303 CE ]
This battle took place between Delhi Sultanate, & the Kakatiya kingdom of Warangal.

Pratap Rudra Deva was the Kakatiya king at the time.
The battle occurred at Upparapalli, near Karimnagar, Telangana.

The army of Delhi Sultanate was sent to Warangal by Alauddin Khilji, while he himself was sieging Chittorgarh.
Delhi generals - Malik Fakhruddin Juna, Malik Jhaju (of Kara)
Kakatiya generals - Venamma, Potuganti Maili

The outcome of the battle, in terms of win/loss, is clearer in the local Prashastis of Kakatiyas, than in Muslim account of Tarikh-i-Firuzshahi by Ziauddin Barni.
Barni only mentions that the Delhi armies were 'greatly reduced in numbers' when they returned North.

The Hindu chronicle - Velugotivarivamsavali - has praised the Kakatiya generals - Venamma Kakatiya & Potuganti Maili - of having 'destroyed the pride of Turuskas of Delhi' at Upparapalli.
