The Power Of Compounding (And Why Most People Don't Practice It)
~ THREAD ~
1. Memory.
Understand that time consumes memory, be aware that your memory can trick you into believing that you're not progressing, when in fact you're.
Just because you can't remember it, doesn't mean it doesn't matter.
2. Results.
You are currently living the results of the decisions and actions you took long ago.
This happens because of:
- Habits
- Repetition
- Compounding
- Habits:
Your current habits define your future. To change the results, change your habits.
- Repetition:
Every time you repeat an action, you are likely to repeat it again and make it a habit.
Repetition also makes you better. Keep practicing, keep improving.
- Compounding:
After weeks of repetition, your actions become habits. After months/years of habits, your actions become your reality, thanks to compounding.
If you remember your actions, but have not obtained any results, be patient, the compound effect will give you results.
So why doesn't everyone make the right choices to build a good future for themselves?
Because we live in a society of instant gratification, and people like it. Just look around you.
One (small) choice today, can become a BIG change in the future.
