#Thread on debunking a Goebbelsian lie, peddled by some of the prominent 'RW' handles.

2.
His claim basically insinuates that the daughters of Chhatrapati Sambhaji & Rajaram were married off voluntarily by them to Muslims.
3.
First things first, all the daughters in question here were illegitimate daughters (👇) , *captured by Aurangzeb*.
Nevertheless, we proceed further to debunk the lies. Read on.
(Marathi translation of Jadunath Sarkar's English translation of Akhbarat)

Furthermore, @KshatriyaItihas mentions '7,000 rupees of dowry was given'.
But, by whom exactly? :- Maasir-i-Alamgiri says Aurangzeb paid the dowry.
And When? :- Between Dec 1703 - Dec 1704. Mark the years.
5.
One would ask why did Aurangzeb pay the dowry?
The answer :- Both, Chhatrapati Rajaram & Sambhaji had died long before these marriages of 1704!
Chhatrapati Sambhaji: Mar 11, 1689 (15 years before)
Chhatrapati Rajaram: Mar 2, 1700 (4 years before)

Jadunath Sarkar omitted this crucial information of 'illegitimate daughters' in his book on Aurangzib, thereby providing loophole / credible ammunition to anti-Maratha/i interest groups.
7.
This should put to rest these Goebbelsian lies of "Chhatrapati Sambhaji & Rajaram got their daughters married to Mughals".
Let's focus on the glorious parts of Indian history together, rather than throwing dirt on others based on biased reading of history.
