Today, at the handover of three improved junctions at Abraham Adesanya, Lekki 1 and 2 roundabouts, I reiterated our stand to fight any attempt by anyone or any group to bring back traffic gridlock to Apapa.
The result we are seeing is the beginning of the lasting solution we promised. We are not completely out of the woods but our citizens can now see that a journey that took them three hours can, indeed, take between 15 and 20 minutes.
When we work together, we can solve our problems internally. We have taken the people that are benefiting from the gridlock out of the way and we will ensure that nobody tries to retract the progress we are recording.
I also appeal to other stakeholders in the maritime sector who have not signed up on the electronic Call-Up System to do so. We need everyone to collaborate with us on this project.
