how i lost 27 lbs (around 12 kg) in about a month;

i first wanna preface by saying i have been maintaining for a WHILE, i’ve had disordered eating since i was abt 11, but never lost any weight. in around sept of 2020 was when i relapsed BAD and lost this weight. this isn’t as dramatic loss as others on here but im still proud.

okay with that i’ll start.
✧・。1. fluctuating cal intake 。・✧
this was extremely helpful for stopping my binges, and keeping my metabolism from going to garbage.
i know myself, and my limits, and i know i can’t do low res for too long. so, i don’t. at the start, i knew that i wanted a total daily intake of 1000 calories.
thats 7000 calories per week. so, i decided to eat 600 on monday, wednesday, friday, and 1300 on tuesday, thursday, saturday, and sunday.
(600 times 3) + (1300 times 4) is 7000 in a week.
✧・。2. dropping cal limit weekly。・✧
i dropped my cal limit daily by 100 cals. i just subtracted 100 from each day. at the beginning of the month i started with 1300 cals and 600 cals each week and by the end it was around 900 and 200 (every other day)
✧・。3. intermittent fasting。・✧
this was a really easy change to make. i only ate (and still do only eat) during 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm or 12:00 to 18:00.
✧・。4. teateateatea and water。・✧
i would drink green tea right after i woke up, and before i went to sleep. i would drink one water during the first half of school, have tea during my lunch break, and another bottle of water for the second half of school. i’d also have a bottle of water during breakfast + dinner
let me make that easier to understand:
1. tea when i woke up at 7:20 am
2. water 7:30 am to 10:30 am
3. tea during lunch break (wouldn’t eat, 10:30 am to 11:20 am)
4. water at 11:20 am to 1:30 pm, or 11:20 to 13:30
5. water during breakfast and dinner
6. tea before bed
i also drank tea whenever i felt i was gonna binge. this kinda leads into my next part.
✧・。5. “it’s always there tomorrow”。・✧
i said this to myself all the time to make myself rethink about eating things i knew i shouldn’t eat. since i usually overeat in the night, i would tell myself that if i went to sleep, and wanted it tomorrow, i could eat it. i usually didnt!
✧・。6. any media distraction on earth。・✧
this is what saved me the most. i read so many books EVERY SINGLE DAY and binge watch movie series and shows. i also have a movie journal that i decorate after every movie i watch that i really like.
this helps me all the time because i still have urges to binge, and also i really really like reading. in september when i lost the weight, i would go to class. if i wasnt in class, i was watching a movie or show. if i wasnt watching a show or movie, i was drawing
if not drawing, then reading, and once i wasted enough time doing that, i would do my homework and be too tired to do anything but sleep after. i still do this now. it helps to restrict if you’re constantly making yourself busy, especially with hobbies you like.
here are some things i do besides eating:
play piano
play guitar
read books
watch movies, and journal them
play mc with my friends
play with my cat (take this any and every way you want)
paint and draw
clean and organize
study
i daydream a lot
ft friends
literally anything

also:: i don’t exercise often, i never have and still don’t. over that month i took 30 minute walks maybe 3 times a week? that was it
OH ALSO i went from 22 ish bmi to around 17.6 bmi so i was never particularly overweight
