In the communist school, boys brutally assault a teacher while a portrait of Mao sits above the scene. In the other, pupils treat their teachers with respect, while a portrait of what appears to be King Bhumibol Adulyadej (?) sits above the chalkboard.
Full translation: β€œCommunists disrespect important people. In this picture, we see a group of young people in the Red Guard gang up on their teacher. We Thai people respect our elders and those who teach us life, knowledge and wisdom.”
The image of a brutal communist tyranny contrasted with a merry free society was a common trope in the propaganda of the time, especially in Thailand:
