If someone asks me a general question about getting into InfoSec, I can send the following in one (Alfred) command.

Is it less personal? Sure.
But by my calculation, that's better than not responding to lots of people because it takes too much time to type all that stuff out.
And you can be more personal in the second phase after they come back from initial reading.

I'd bet you a jillion that people like @hacks4pancakes and other evergreen-helpers use something similar.
I say this within an InfoSec Career context, but really this applies to any situation where you can use technology to help more people than you otherwise would be able.
