I always think back to days gone by on nights like tonight. The first season I can remember (ish) was ‘90/91. I turned 6 that year but my Dad was already taking me along to home matches. City finished 5th that season, one place ahead of United in 6th 1/

That all seemed fine to 6 year old me. I expected similar in seasons to come and maybe a few Cups and title challenges thrown in. It wasn’t long before United became the most dominant team in English football and things turned drastically sour for City 2/

Going into battle for City throughout school years with the reds was character building I suppose, didn’t feel like it at the time. There wasn’t much hope and they made sure we knew about it 3/

That sustained period misery/comedy/loyalty always makes days like today even more special. Enjoy it blues, let them know about it, we deserve it.
