Want to start freelancing as a web dev but don't know what tech stack to use?
Here is my advice 👇
There are a lot of options and you can spend years learning and perfecting them all.
JavaScript frameworks
HTML, CSS, Bootstrap / Tailwind combo
WordPress
SquareSpace
Shopify
There is no right or wrong approach as long as the technology meets the client's needs.
Some things to look out for:
Does it support key features like responsiveness, SEO, and good performance, etc?
When you are deciding think about the following:
What technology do you enjoy working with and learning?
What is in demand right now?
What has the most potential for the future?
I chose WordPress because there is plenty of work, clients ask for it often, and it's great for recurring freelancing revenue
Don't spend too much time learning every possible framework or tool.
Focus on one that is in high demand, has good potential to grow, and that you enjoy working with.
Good luck 🙌
