I looked into the works of Some Christian Scholars on this topic. Rudolf Bultmann for example argues that John took this figure of the Paraclete and interpreted in light of Christian tradition as the HS.

They are not saying that the surface reading of John refers to another Human being coming after Jesus but because there are irreconcilable descriptions in John about the Paraclete. So they suggested that it was originally about a human being.....
Some sayings lean most differently to the HS while others lean more to a prophetic figure and also because some functions of the Paraclete are very difficult to apply to the HS so they suggested that this figure was a human figure originally
And if one takes this interpretation of These Scholars, then Jesus PBUH originally predicted a human being to come after him originally who would Lead people into All Truth, Testify to who Jesus was, predict the future and Honor Jesus. Interesting.
So these Christian Scholars are basically saying that how could this be the Holy Spirit? Given that the functions of this Person do not fit the Holy Spirit but another Male Salvific Figure. It also noted that the Male Pronouns in Greek are never used for the HS Except here.
